The library of the Erich Auerbach Institute for Advanced Studies is a presence library with about 2300 volumes, which are recorded in the Kölner Universitätsgesamtkatalog (KUG). The main focus is on the "Sammlung Morphomata", which, in addition to general reference works, covers topics such as portraits, biography, knowledge systems, death, creativity, time and rule, and in selected areas from archaeology and German studies.

Visiting the library is possible only by appointment.

The library is open again for users in compliance with 3G rules (Vaccinated, recovered or tested). Please have proof of one of the 3Gs and photo ID ready when you enter.
